A multilingual corporate website for Šumi, a heritage Slovenian confectionery brand. Designed and built in WordPress with Slovenian and English running side by side through WPML, fronted by Cloudflare for speed and security. The result is a site the client never has to touch: updates, changes and upkeep all run through me on a maintenance plan.
Šumi is a heritage Slovenian confectionery brand (sweet-making since 1876), but it had no real website to match, only a product catalog and a set of brand visuals. They needed a complete corporate site built from the ground up: bilingual for international buyers, and run by someone else afterwards, because nobody inside the company has looking after a website in their job description.
I designed and built the site from scratch in WordPress on a clean, token-driven component system, every section editable, nothing hard-coded. WPML runs Slovenian and English side by side, Cloudflare sits in front for speed and security, and a maintenance plan keeps core, plugins and translations current on a fixed schedule.
A fast, fully multilingual site the client does not have to think about, because every change goes through me. Mobile PageSpeed in the 90s and Core Web Vitals all green. Since launch it has run without a single unplanned outage, monitored and backed up daily as part of ongoing care.
